Maddox Douglas Puts On Strong Contact Performance As Goodlettsville 8U All-Stars - Take The Win Over Lebanon 9-3 

Maddox Douglas collected three hits in three at bats, as Goodlettsville defeated Lebanon 9-3 on Saturday. Maddox hit an inside the park home run in the third inning, doubled in the first inning, and singled in the fifth inning.

Goodlettsville 8U All-Stars opened the scoring in the first after Maddox doubled, scoring one run.

Goodlettsville extended their early lead with four runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI singles by Micah Brenner and Jaren McDonald.

Goodlettsville scored one run in the top of the third on an inside the park home run by Maddox Douglas. 

Goodlettsville 8U All-Stars piled up 14 hits in the game. Jaren McDonald led Goodlettsville 8U All-Stars with four RBI's. The pitcher went 2-for-2 on the day. Micah Brenner, Fisher Freeman, and Jake Reed each collected multiple hits for Goodlettsville. The defense was the difference from the start with a big 10-6-3 putout by Cash Long and Greyson Collins after a Lebanon hit in the first inning. The second baseman Micah Brenner led the way defensively by making the most plays with five. Cash Long made a huge play at SS with the bases loaded to keep the Lebanon rally to just one run.  Other key plays included caught balls in the outfield by KJ McClung, Fisher Freeman, and Jake Reed.  Other notable plays included putouts by Jaren McDonald and Maddox Douglas. Catchers on record Everett Hines and Pierson Hughes. Lexington is up next for Goodlettsville.
