Mason Eakes impersonated Ace Eschenburg as well as possible in game two of the Tennessee Little League State Tournament shutting down the Columbia American all stars with a commanding no run one-hit performance before giving way to Armando “El Toro” DeDios and Johnny Cuthill who finished off the shutout allowing one extra hit. The trio combined to throw a two hit shutout leading Goodlettsville to a comfortable 8-0 victory.

Preston Pacurar had the hot bat for Goodlettsville collecting two hits and a homerun. Ace Eschenburg followed Pacurar’s Homerun with a line drive bullet over the center field fence for back-to-back jacks in the fifth pushing the lead to 8-0. Johnny Cuthill, Jackson White and Jayden Lee had one hit each.

Goodlettsville moves into the winners bracket finals Tuesday versus the winner between Morristown and Clarksville National.
